Wasatch Public Media (“WPM”) is a Utah non-profit corporation formed on September 12, 2007 for the sole purpose of acquiring KCPW from Community Wireless of Park City (“CW”), a Utah non-profit corporation. WPM began operating KCPW on May 1, 2008 through an operating agreement with CW. The purchase of KCPW was completed on September 24, 2008.
Current Board Members
Paul Bruno is a marketing and creative entrepreneur who fulfills the printing, promotional products and decorated apparel requirements for some of the most prestigious corporations and institutions in the Intermountain West through his company, Bruno Group Signature Events. Paul has actively participated as a volunteer and/or board member with several public entities over the past 35 years and was instrumental in expanding the reach and programming of one of Northern California’s premier public radio stations, KHSU. Upon relocation to Utah in 1984, Paul became a dedicated volunteer at KPCW and participated in the discussions and planning sessions that eventually lead to the formation of KCPW.
Tim grew up in Texas and California where he wrote stories for high school and college campus newspapers. He has been married 39 years to his wife, Cathy. Tim has been a Political Science professor at the U of U since 1988 where he teaches courses in Politics, Government and Law. He listens to public radio every day and is a news junkie. He has participated in programs on KCPW and KUER several times.
John Miles joined the Board of Directors as the inaugural chair of the Friends of KCPW in 2009. John has been a KCPW listener and supporter since 2003. John has served as Chapter President for the National Treasury Employees Union, and Chair of the Weber County Democrats. John is currently a Computer Systems Analyst for the federal government. John is a native of Ogden, UT where he lives with his wife.
Steve joined the Wasatch Public Media board in July 2013. He has enjoyed public radio for years. As an early listener, he helped shape the BBC’s World Have Your Say as well as NPR’s Tell Me More and The Bryant Park Project. He works in web development and marketing. In his personal life, he enjoys running, eating Vietnamese food, and wearing bow ties. A proud Texan by birth, Steve is happy to live in Utah. After starting his undergraduate work at Penn State Abington, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Brigham Young University and a Master of Information Management from the University of Maryland.
Mark Wagner, Esq.
Mark is a shareholder of the Utah-based law firm VanCott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy, P.C., and is Chair of the firm’s Labor and Employment Law Practice Group. Mark received his J.D. degree, Order of the Coif, from the University of Utah College of Law (now the S.J. Quinney College of Law), and his B.S. degree, cum laude, in Business Management from the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business. Mark was born in Papua New Guinea, and grew up in Chatham, Illinois. Mark later moved to Utah, where he has now lived a majority of his life. Mark began listening to public radio, in general, during college, and to KCPW, in specific, in 1993.
Mason is the Head Trader at Albion Financial as well serving as an Adjunct Professor of Finance in the Gore School of Business at Westminster College. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Westminster and a Bachelor of Science, Finance from the Gore School of Business. A long time listener and supporter of public radio, Mason enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter, as well as skiing and biking in the mountains.

Notice of Public Meetings
Commencing October 1, 2009, Notice of Wasatch Public Media Board of Director meetings and Friends of KCPW Council meetings, including time and place, will be posted at this site at least seven days prior to the meetings. All meetings are open to the public. Minutes of the meetings will be placed in the Public File at KCPW and can be viewed during normal business hours of the station.
