Huntsman to Lead Trade Mission China

None by KCPW

(KCPW News) Governor Huntsman is taking his fluent Chinese language skills overseas at the helm of a trade mission for Utah business. Twenty companies, including half a dozen natural product multi-level marketing companies, numerous manufacturing companies and waste disposal business Energy Solutions, will join the governor in meeting with Chinese ministers and businesses during a week-long trip.

"The Governor has many contacts there and his status helps to secure meetings with higher level officials in government ministries and agencies," says Adam Walden, international coordinator in the Governor's Office of Economic Development.

Last summer the Governor organized a similar trip to Mexico, which resulted in a number of business deals for Utah companies.

Participants in the trade mission depart for China on October 16th. They will spend time in Beijing and Shanghai in a series of one-in-one matchmaking meetings with Chinese businesses, as well as government agencies.
