SLC Mayoral Candidate Ralph Becker

(KCPW News) The field for Salt Lake City Mayor seems to be expanding daily as hopefuls announce their candidacy. The latest is House Minority Leader Ralph Becker. After a stint in Governor Scott Matheson's administration, ten years in the State Legislature and time on the Salt Lake City planning commission, Becker believes the mayor's seat is a perfect match for his skills. He tells KCPW's Julie Rose that his style will be more collaborative than Mayor Rocky Anderson's, but promises to continue at least one priority of the outgoing mayor:

 

Salt Lake City mayoral candidate Ralph Becker will continue to serve in the state legislature during his campaign. About ten other candidates have also announced their intention to run for Mayor Rocky Anderson's seat in 2007.
