Another Month or Longer Before County Has Full Review of Stadium Proposal

(KCPW News) When Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon called for a full review of Real Salt Lake's financial health, he hoped to have the evaluation done by November. But the soccer team didn't hand over the details until mid-December, and now the Debt Review Committee's recommendations are unlikely to be ready for another month - or longer."I think it's taking its time, but I'm not totally alarmed at that," says Jerry Campbell, Division Director in the District Attorney's office and chair of the county's Debt Review Committee. Nor is he surprised.
However slow, Campbell says ReAL has provided all of the information requested of them to this point. The committee recently made an additional request of the team. Campbell says the private consulting firm should complete its report in mid-January, when the committee hopes to begin forming its opinion on whether public money should be used for the stadium project.
