Sandy's Hopes Dashed
None by KCPW
(KCPW News) Plans for a professional soccer stadium in Sandy are dead. Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corron says he will not endorse the funding plan after all - and that's left the mayor of Sandy City without hope for the dream he worked more than a year to fulfill.Asked whether Sandy has any other options to keep the stadium deal alive, Mayor Tom Dolan shrugs. ReAL officials have reportedly said they are giving up on the plan and will look to sell the team. Dolan says he has but one regret.
"If I'd have done something differently it would have been to not accept Mayor Corroon at his word a year ago," says Dolan.
Mayor Corroon says he was only willing to support the stadium if he felt it was a good investment for the public. Over the summer, he crafted a compromise and Dolan expected Corroon follow through. After an extensive review of ReAL's finances, Corroon decided to drop the deal.

I wonder how Mayor Dolan feels after sleeping with Dave Checketts and the Governor. Because now it looks like this Republican a****** is going to get everything he wants, even though 70% of the county residents don't want it. I guess being in the pockets of sports owners and the governor pays off.I wish I could fight this jackass tooth and nail because this is a gross misuse of taxpayer funds and I hope the people of Sandy boot him out in the next election. Oh whoops, that won't happen. Because 98% of Sandy's residents are egotistical, arrogant Republican's. Wow, sorry that my fantasy won't come true.
