SLC Peace Rally Draws Hundreds

None by KCPW

(KCPW News) Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson led a lunch-time rally against the war in Iraq today. Some 600 people marched on the City County Building to mark the fourth anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

Anderson echoed his now-familiar refrains of the need for peace and an impeachment of President George Bush. He gave a similar speech at a march on the Pentagon in Washington over the weekend.

President George Bush marked today's anniversary with a speech urging Americans to be patient with progress in Iraq. He also called on Congress to pass an emergency war-spending bill.
