Townhall Meeting to Debunk Immigration Bill Myths for Latino Community

None by KCPW

(KCPW News) Latino community leaders have scheduled a town hall meeting this weekend to debunk myths swirling about the immigration reform bill being debated in Congress:

"People are getting information that perhaps they're going to get legalized if they just pay the fine," says John Renteria, director of the Centro Civico Mexicano. "We want to head off any misinformation about a bill that still hasn't been passed and let people know not to be taken by shysters who are offering people opportunities to get legalized when they really can't yet."

Renteria says Utah's Latino community is largely excited about the possibilities for citizenship the immigration reform bill may offer. The town hall meeting is being organized by the Utah Latino Project, which will also have immigration attorneys on hand to offer advice.

The townhall meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Centro Civico Mexico.

WHEN ARE THE HONEST PEOPLE LEFT GOING TO STEP FORWARD AND ENFORCE THE LAWS OF THIS ONCE GREAT NATION?

We may have to kiss the keister's of the illegal aliens but we have many on public record clearly aiding and abetting!

A Sensible Solution to Immigration Crisis

Earn and Return is a unique temporary worker program which provides a much needed, long term solution to the immigration crisis.

Temporary workers entering the United States * will have the same legal rights and privileges as do permanent residents * will pay no United States taxes* will remain for a time certain - not to exceed one year. The primary purpose of Earn and Return is to protect the quality of American life, but it offers huge benefits to foreigners, as well. Only a few of them now benefit from participating in the American economy. Earn and Return will multiply that number many times over.

Once Earn and Return is up and running, temporary workers will stop trying to sneak their families into this country and will instead return to them with their pockets stuffed full of cash.

A secure identity card and enforcement, which must include small businesses, will be required.

A moratorium on immigration would facilitate the successful implementation of this sensible policy, which will protect the quality of American life and give huge benefits to temporary workers.
