Some Support Obama, Some Support Clinton
(KCPW News) Democrats in the Utah Legislature are taking sides in the tight presidential race. Today, eleven lawmakers announced their support for Barack Obama, including House Minority Leader Brad King.King says Obama has reached across party lines and brought more independent voters to the party. He adds that Obama is telling Americans what they need to hear, not what they want to hear.
Hillary Clinton also has supporters on Capitol Hill, like Senator Ross Romero, who was endorsing Governor Bill Richardson before he dropped out of the race. Romero says Clinton has proven herself as a party builder and reached out to Hispanic voters, who will be important in the election.
The senator is glad that Clinton has the potential to be the first female president. Clinton is also endorsed by Senate Minority Leader Mike Dmitrich and two representatives, who are all on her statewide steering committee.

Obama for President!!! I am an independent registered as a Dem to vote for Obama. I hope the Dem base doesn't screw this one up by nominating Hillary. All of the excitement and energy across all demographics for the support of the best candidate their party and this country have seen in a long time will be thrown down the drain and Hillary will lose. I WILL NOT VOTE FOR HER IN A PRESIDENTIAL RACE!!! Obama for president!!!
