Do you love history, art, or architecture? Do you enjoy meeting new people? The Visitors Center at the Utah State Capitol would love your help!
Volunteer docents lead visitors on engaging, informative tours about the history, art, and scope of the Capitol building. Volunteer docents provide an indispensable service to thousands of Capitol visitors, while meeting interesting people from across the U.S. and around the globe. Docents have the opportunity to develop new skills and areas of expertise; cultivate a special connection with the Capitol community; and attend volunteer socials and recognition events.
Volunteer training includes workshops on early Utah history, the Capitol construction, architectural and artistic characteristics, the Capitol restoration, and government processes.
