Special Election Day Coverage on KCPW

On Tuesday, November 3rd, KCPW will be providing election coverage from its range of programming partners.

Beginning at 3pm on Election Day, tune in for an international look at the U.S. election from the BBC, with reactions and analysis focused on the connections between the U.S. and the rest of the world, while also examining American politics on a local, national, and international level. BBC News analysts will tackle the presidential race as well as individual congressional and senate races. Join us beginning at 3pm – and throughout the evening.

From 5-6pm, tune in for the national call-in special “America Are We Ready?” with veteran political journalist Brian Lehrer. Brian and his team will follow the news and have boots on the ground in places that may be noteworthy in the first hours of polls closing around the country. You’ll be invited to join the conversation to offer your thoughts on what this historic election means to you and your community. The broadcast is part of a series of “America Are We Ready?” conversations that have been held throughout the election year.

Whether we have definitive results or are facing extended vote-counting and legal challenges, tune in to 88.3 FM, stream online, or ask your smart speaker to play KCPW for in-depth election night coverage. And, of course, join us for regular weekday news updates tracking the vote-count, for context from local elected officials on the weekly political debate show Both Sides of the Aisle, and for an election wrap-up with reporters from The Salt Lake Tribune during Behind the Headlines Friday morning at nine.
