Both Sides of the Aisle – Episode 127 (4/7/16)

Play

This week Dan, Jim, and Natalie talk about Jim’s trip to Washington D.C. earlier this week to meet with the DOJ about the Salt Lake Tribune case and to lobby the Interior Department for a Bears Ears National Monument in southern Utah.  The gang also discuss the Wisconsin Primary results – a contested GOP nomination is looking likely. In the second segment they talk about Gov. Herbert’s line item vetoes of education programs.  Dan thinks an override is possible, but Jim supports the veto; also the ‘Panama Papers’ – the leaked database of off-shore money; and Utah’s gender gap – is Utah really the 2nd worst in the nation?
