CityViews 3/28/12: The Heart/North Temple Makeover

Segment 1:

Hearts represent love, affection and the center of one’s emotional core. But symbolic meanings aside, the heart is a very powerful organ, the blood pump that allows us to live. On Wednesday, we learn more about this vital organ, the latest research on heart treatments and information on heart transplants.

  • Dr. Jeffrey Anderson, Intermountain Medical Center Heart Institute
  • Dr. Brent Wilson, University of Utah Cardiovascular Center

Segment 2:

Salt Lake City residents and business owners have been waiting for a new and improved North Temple corridor for years. On Wednesday, we’ll hear more about the North Temple project and how a new Airport TRAX line and other amenities will upgrade life and business on the city’s West Side.

  • Dave Galvan, Mestizo Coffeehouse and Westside Business Alliance
  • Frank Gray, Salt Lake City Economic Development

A free public workshop about the new North Temple corridor will be held Thursday, March 29 from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Grand Hall at Utah Fair Park, 155 N. 100 W., Salt Lake City.
