Forget the doggy bag. If Salt Lake County tweaks its health regulations, your pooch could be your dinner date at a local restaurant patio near you. The Salt Lake Valley Health Department is asking for public input on the rule change that would allow canine companions at outdoor eateries.

A public hearing on the “Paws on the Patio” regulation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Environmental Health Facility auditorium, 788 East Woodoak Lane (5380 South), Murray. The Board of Health will consider the change at their regularly scheduled meeting Thursday, May 3. More information here.
