Segment 1:
There are currently seven areas of Salt Lake City where dogs can roam free of tethers, halters or leashes. City leaders are considering adding four new areas, but they’re also thinking about requiring tags for off-leash dogs and using volunteers and rangers to help enforce the new rules. On Wednesday, we’re talking about the proposed dog park master plan and what it means for dog lovers and their canine companions.
Guests:
- Ann Ober, Salt Lake City
- Polly Hart, Millcreek FIDOS (Friends Interested in Dogs and Open Space)
Segment 2:
Democrats have had control of the Salt Lake County Mayor’s Office for the past eight years, but the departure of incumbent Peter Corroon has Republicans looking for opportunity. On Wednesday, we talk about the two GOP members in the race – Mark Crockett and Mike Winder – and what it will take for a Republican to win the county-wide race.
Guest:
- Jeff Robinson, KCPW
Join KCPW and the Utah Taxpayers Association for a primary debate between the Republican candidates for Salt Lake County Mayor, Mike Winder and Mark Crockett, on Wednesday, June 6 at 7 p.m. at The Leonardo, 209 E 500 S., Salt Lake City. Or tune in to KCPW for the live broadcast.

thanks so much for the show on dogs and off leash. It is so important and needs to be addressed and dealt with in a fashion that works for all. Thanks again deb
