Segment 2:

Since age 10, Graham Watanabe’s life has been filled with poptarts, fakies and other tricks on the half-pipe. But after losing a close friend to suicide, the professional snowboarder is now broadening his experience to become a vocal advocate for mental health awareness. On Wednesday, Watanabe joins us to talk about the hope for recovery from depression and other mental illnesses.

On Thursday August 16 – NAMI Utah will kick off the 8th Annual NAMIWalks event at a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton (110 W. 600 South), Salt Lake City. This year’s NAMIWalks will be held Saturday, September 29 at Liberty Park.
