In addition to penning the classic novel “Of Mice and Men,” John Steinbeck wrote a stage version of the tragic tale. Pioneer Theatre Company brings the heartbreaking story of George and Lennie to the Utah stage and on Wednesday, we explore how loneliness, ignorance and fate figure into this morality play and why this story continues to stir controversy.
