Now, America’s diplomatic corps is negotiating a relationship with Egypt’s new leadership: the Muslim Brotherhood. On Tuesday, Harvard’s Tarek Masoud joins us to talk about the rise of Islamists and what that means for the future of Egypt.

Dr. Masoud presents the lecture “Understanding Muslim Societies” Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Gore Concert Hall at Westminster College, 1840 S. 1300 East, Salt Lake City. The lecture, sponsored by the Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy, is free and open to the public.

Dr. Leslie Howard is a renowned pianist in his own right, performing recitals and concerto performances with many of the world’s great orchestras and conductors. But he is likely best known for his work recording the challenging piano compositions of the man many regard as the greatest pianist of his time, the prolific composer Franz Liszt. On Tuesday, Howard joins us to talk about his fascination with and dedication to the Liszt repertoire.
