Former Palestinian prisoners and Israeli soldiers and officers laid down their weapons and established Combatants for Peace, a Nobel Peace Prize nominated movement founded on the belief that the cycle of violence can only be broken when Israelis and Palestinians join forces. It is the only organization, worldwide, in which former fighters on both sides of an active conflict have renounced violence and chosen to work together for peace. Their joint action lays the groundwork for a peaceful future by modeling the potential of what can be. Come hear their empowering story.

Palestinian Sulaiman Khatib is one of the original founders of Combatants for Peace. He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Tuly Flint is the highest ranking officer in Combatants for Peace, the equivalent of a two star general, and probably one of the highest ranking people in the Israeli military to ever refuse to serve, despite even being threatened with a public military trial.

Beth Schuman is the Executive Director of American Friends of Combatants for Peace.
