The Hinckley Institute Radio Hour(Air date: Feb. 5, 2014) – Mary Wagner, Associate Chief of the U.S. Forest Service spoke last week in the Hinckley caucus room at the University of Utah. Wagner is a graduate from the University of Utah, with a Masters degree in Public Administration. She has spent 28 years with the Forest Service in a variety of leadership positions, including assignments in the Dixie National Forest, and at the Vernal Ranger District in Utah. In her talk, Wagner speaks about the many environmental challenges facing the agency, as well as the emerging trends in conservation currently being engaged by the Forest Service. This Hinckley Institute Radio Hour was recorded live with an audience of students and faculty, at the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah, on January 31st, 2014. Wagner’s talk was sponsored by the Dalmas Nelson Endowment Fund, and Dalmas Nelson himself, professor emeritus, introduced Wagner.
