Rod Decker worked for more than 40 years as a journalist in Utah, primarily covering government and politics. His new book Utah Politics: The Elephant in the Room looks at the history of the religious and political divides that have come to define Utah. For today’s episode, in addition to examining that history, Decker also provides analysis on the current Salt Lake City mayor’s race, where the question of a candidate’s religious affiliation has been thrust into the spotlight.
