U of U Researchers Study New “Cloaking” Method
08.18.2009 by Jeff Robinson
(KCPW News) Although their studies have only been theoretical at this point, University of Utah researchers have developed a new method of “cloaking” objects from not only radar and sonar waves, but even destructive waves, like those from earthquakes. Graeme Milton, a distinguished professor of mathematics, is working on the project. He explains that the process would work through a device that generates electromagnetic fields. Milton spoke with KCPW’s Jeff Robinson about how this would work.
Here’s a video demonstration of how this cloaking method works.
