A Conversation with Veteran Journalist Daniel Schorr
10.09.2009 by Jeff Robinson
(KCPW News) An elder statesman of journalism is coming to town on Saturday to discuss freedom of the press. And he certainly knows a lot about the topic. Daniel Schorr is a senior news analyst for National Public Radio, a former associate of legendary broadcaster Edward R. Murrow, and a one-time member of President Richard Nixon’s “Enemies List.” Tomorrow, he’ll join Iranian-American journalist Roxana Saberi, who was recently imprisoned in Iran, for a discussion at Rowland-Hall St. Mark’s sponsored by the McCarthey Family Foundation. KCPW’s Jeff Robinson spoke with Schorr about freedom of the press in America.
NPR Senior News Analyst Daniel Schorr will be in Salt Lake City tomorrow for the McCarthey Family Foundation 4th Annual Lecture Series at Rowland-Hall St. Mark’s. The event begins at 7 p.m., and is free and open to the public.
