(KCPW News) The U.S. Chamber of Commerce describes itself as the world’s largest business federation, representing three million businesses from all sectors. But it doesn’t speak for everyone. Apple made news earlier this month when it joined other companies in quitting the chamber, because of its stance that the Environmental Protection Agency should not regulate greenhouse gas emissions. Karen Harbert is president and CEO of the Institute for 21st Century Energy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She was in Salt Lake City this week to visit the Salt Lake Chamber. Harbert was previously assistant secretary for policy and international affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy from 2004 to 2008.
