Simonsen Discusses Future after Winning Close Election

(KCPW News) Twelve votes.  That’s what the race for Salt Lake City Council District 7 came down to, after nearly 3,900 votes were cast and a re-count was held.  Voters narrowly decided to send incumbent Soren Simonsen back for a second term to represent Sugar House and other neighborhoods in the southeast of the city.  But clearly, many of them would have preferred his challenger, Lisa Adams.  KCPW’s Jeff Robinson spoke with Councilman Simonsen to find out what he took away from the nail-biting election as he gears up for another four-year term.
