(KCPW News) It took only one round of voting for Democratic delegates in State Senate District 2 to decide to send Ben McAdams to the legislature as a replacement for former State Senator Scott McCoy, who resigned earlier this month to focus on his law career. McAdams says he plans to keep his current job as Senior Advisor to Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker, but take a leave of absence during the upcoming legislative session. KCPW’s Jeff Robinson asked him what issues he plans to tackle as he represents northern Salt Lake County in the Utah Senate starting in January.
McAdams lives in the Avenues with his wife and three children. His nomination still has to be confirmed by Governor Gary Herbert.
