Republican Caucus Tells Senator to Change Sex Ed Bill

(KCPW News) A Republican lawmaker in the Utah Senate has teamed up with a Democrat in the House to overhaul sex education in Utah’s public schools. St. George Senator Steve Urquhart and Holladay Representative Lynn Hemingway have introduced legislation that aims to standardize what students learn about reproductive health. Senator Urquhart told KCPW’s Jeff Robinson what convinced him to sponsor the legislation, and what changes his fellow Republicans are demanding be made to the bill.
