(KCPW News) After 68 years in business, Emigration Market on Salt Lake City’s east side will shutter its doors this Saturday night. The grocery store has seen its ups and downs over the years with the arrival of chain food stores in Salt Lake City. And for the past several months, the writing has been on the wall, with employees and neighbors knowing this day would soon come. KCPW’s Jeff Robinson talked with the store’s owners and employees to learn more about the legacy it leaves behind.
