(KCPW News) While Iraq was the battleground for George W. Bush’s presidency, it’s Afghanistan for President Barack Obama. Now, he not only has to manage a war there, but also figure out how to deal with an embattled President Hamid Karzai, who was accused of rigging his recent re-election. As National Public Radio’s bureau chief in Afghanistan, Soraya Sarhaddi Nelson has been busy filing reports from the war-torn country. KCPW’s Jeff Robinson spoke with her late last week, when she was at NPR headquarters in Washington, DC.
