Is State Guest Worker Program Immigration Solution?

(KCPW News) In an effort to cool the immigration debate in Utah, Governor Gary Herbert convened a 31-member roundtable for more than two hours this morning, drawing an overflow crowd to the State Capitol. KCPW’s Elizabeth Ziegler has the story:
Attorney General Mark Shurtleff introduced what he’s calling a “golden spike” strategy to unite people on both sides of the border. He pitched a working group to discuss how to expand the federal “H-2” guest-worker program, and possibly create a pilot guest worker program in Utah with the Mexican State of Nuevo Leon, from where a large number of the state’s illegal immigrants come.
