Politics Up Close: Economic Development in Utah

(KCPW News) The words “economic development” have been said on the campaign trail for the governor’s race this year several times. But what goes in to attracting and keeping businesses in Utah? We talked with Jeff Edwards, president of the Economic Development Corporation of Utah.
My question and comment would be – Why all this money and tax incentives to businesses outside of Utah? Where is the incentives and tax breaks for small businesses already here? I mean come on! 42 million dollars to Adobe? Talk about corporate welfare. As a small business owner, we would like to see even just a fraction of that.
We added 30 jobs in the last year and half alone.
