(KCPW News) More than 80 employees have been axed from the Deseret News. But that’s not what the newspaper’s management is focusing on. Instead, CEO Clark Gilbert claims a fundamentally new business model will make the publication better than ever. Local journalists, however, are skeptical, and angry. We talked with the City Weekly’s Josh Loftin and Salt Lake Tribune columnist Peg McEntee.
