(KCPW News) A legislative committee has approved a bill that requires a review of the Utah Department of Transportation’s settlement agreements before they’re paid out. It’s the legislature’s response to a controversial $13 million payout UDOT made to a losing bidder in the $1.1 billion I-15 expansion project in Utah County, without consulting the legislature or the governor.
