(KCPW News) A state lawmaker believes the four-day workweek implemented for state employees two years ago isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Now, Republican Representative Mike Noel from Kanab is drafting a bill to put them back on an eight-hour, five-day schedule. KCPW’s Jeff Robinson asked him why.
A survey of state employees found that 82 percent of them preferred to stay on the four-day schedule; however, the energy and cost savings promised by former Governor Jon Huntsman have been lower than estimated.
