Oslo Accords Architect to Speak in Salt Lake City

When the Oslo Accords were negotiated between Israel and the Palestinian Authority in 1993, Dr. Yair Hirschfeld was a key architect of the agreement. The University of Haifa history professor will speak tonight at Salt Lake City’s Jewish Community Center.

(KCPW News) When the Oslo Accords were negotiated between Israel and the Palestinian Authority in 1993, Dr. Yair Hirschfeld was a key architect of the agreement. The University of Haifa history professor will speak tonight at Salt Lake City’s Jewish Community Center to answer this question: will the Oslo Accords pave the way for a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinian territories? To preview the event, KCPW’s Jeff Robinson spoke with Dr. Hirschfeld, beginning their conversation by asking what impacts of the Oslo Accords we can see today.

Dr. Yair Hirschfeld will speak tonight at 7 at the I.J. and Jeanne Wagner Jewish Community Center in Salt Lake City. The event is co-presented by the Tanner Humanities Center and the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah. It’s free and open to the public.
