(KCPW News) As Chief Deputy Utah Attorney General, Republican John Swallow has battled against the federal government on issues like health care reform and public lands. Now, with incumbent Mark Shurtleff retiring at the end of 2012, he’s running for his boss’s job. Where would he lead the state on those issues and on immigration? Swallow joined us in the studio to discuss his campaign.
Then, the state’s largest business association, the Salt Lake Chamber, is an influential voice during the annual session of the Utah legislature. This year, it’s supporting a statewide nondiscrimination law. We found out why the Chamber is calling for big decisions in 2012.
