EnergySolutions to Help With Fukushima Cleanup

EnergySolutions will have a hand in cleaning up radioactively contaminated seawater at the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan that was used to cool nuclear reactors after an earthquake and tsunami severely damaged the plant last year. The company will now work with Toshiba to decontaminate about 40 million gallons of water.

Salt Lake County Auditor Greg Hawkins released an audit today detailing several types of fraud in the county’s AmeriCorps program, following a year-long investigation jointly conducted with the district attorney’s office and the FBI. It focuses primarily on the actions of Richard Parks, the county’s AmeriCorps program director.

Herbert Discusses Re-Election Platform, Legislative Session
