Outdoor Retailer Could Move Out of Salt Lake After 2014

The trade group that puts on the Outdoor Retailer show pumping millions of dollars into the local economy twice a year says the event is growing beyond the space available at the Salt Palace Convention Center.

(KCPW News) The trade group that puts on the Outdoor Retailer show pumping millions of dollars into the local economy twice a year says the event is growing beyond the space available at the Salt Palace Convention Center.

The Outdoor Industry Association announced an initiative today to start an industry-wide discussion on where the trade show should go.

The contract with the Salt Palace will expire after the summer show in 2014.

It’s hosted the Outdoor Retailer show since 1996.
