On Friday, August 24, the Tanner Humanities Center held the 2012 Sterling M. McMurrin Lecture featuring Dr. Laurel Thatcher Ulrich.Ā  Ulrich is currently Phillips Professor of Early American History and 300th Anniversary University Professor at Harvard University.Ā  Ulrichā€™s lecture ā€œRemember Me: The Inscription of Self in Nineteenth-Century Mormonismā€ explored the many ways early Mormons used ā€œlife-writingsā€ and physical mementos to mark the passage of time, link themselves to friends and family, and beg to be remembered.Ā  Listen to a podcast of the lecture here:
