State School Board Will Pick New Superintendent Monday

On Monday, the State Board of Education will choose Utah’s new Superintendent of Public Instruction, replacing Larry Shumway, who is set to retire in January. As KCPW’s Charlotte Duren reports, some legislators believe the process was rushed, while the board says filling the position quickly is vital to education funding.
