U of U Scientists Create Intravaginal Ring to Prevent HIV

(KCPW News) A device that could prevent HIV transmission is being developed in our own backyard. Scientists at the University of Utah have developed an intravaginal ring that was able to deliver an HIV/AIDS-prevention drug when implanted in sheep. Now the device is being showcased to scientists across the country. KCPW’s Jessica Gail reports on how it works.
