Political Hardliners Force US Government Shutdown

The US government was partially shutdown on Tuesday for the first time in 17 years. The shutdown means that up to a million federal workers are on unpaid leave. KCPW’s Roger McDonough spoke to Utah’s Senator Orrin Hatch and State Democratic Party Chair Jim Dabakis, to hear about how this happened, and to try to get a sense of what comes next.
