(KCPW News) Demonstrators gathered on Thursday night in downtown Salt Lake to protest recent actions by police officers, here and across the country.

At the forefront of the discussion was the shooting death of Dillon Taylor, who was killed by a Salt Lake City police officer outside a South Salt Lake 7-Eleven. Taylor’s brother Jerrail, who witnessed the incident, spoke to the group.

KCPW’s Ryan Cunningham attended the rally, and has this report.

It’s a double standard when a black cop shoots an unarmed white male…don’t hear a peep about it in the media..why is that??

Jesse, Al…a bunch of hypocrites!! And the media? The worst offenders of all. Tragic that this double standard always occurs. Here’s hoping the courts will get these cases correct and that the police will have their day and not be strung up before due process.
