LGBT groups march in Provo parade, judge declines to reopen voting rights case in San Juan and more

Play

For the first time, LGBTQ groups march in Provo’s Fourth of July Parade. Meanwhile, an LGBTQ club at Brigham Young University is still awaiting approval after three years. A judge declines to reopen a voting rights case in San Juan County, saying redistricting there is having its desired effect. And the plight of so-called ‘Dreamers’ takes center stage in the race for Utah’s 4th Congressional District seat.

At 9 a.m. Friday, Salt Lake Tribune reporters Kathy Stephenson and Courtney Tanner, as well as senior managing editor Matt Canham, join KCPW’s Roger McDonough to talk about the week’s top stories.

Every Friday at 9 a.m., stream “Behind the Headlines” online at kcpw.org or tune in to KCPW 88.3 FM or Utah Public Radio for the broadcast.
