This week Natalie, Greg, and Jim get into the GOP’s acceptance of the new Count My Vote law, a possible challenge by Sen. Dan Liljenquist for GOP Party Chair, a brewing skirmish among Salt Lake County Democrats, and love in the Salt Lake City Council. Also, Sen. You frame the criminal justice reform and seat belt laws as “not necessarily conservative,” but keep missing a major consideration, which is that both will save millions in tax dollars. Jails will now remain flat in prisoner numbers instead of projected massive growth, and seat belts prevent underinsured people from costing millions in emergency medical and disability costs that the rest of us have to pay for. Isn’t that conservative?
Meaning responsible conservation of funds (and lives in both cases!)
