Today on In the Hive: last ballot initiative standing. In 2018, three ballot measures were voted into law by Utah residents. Two of them have already been substantially modified and now it would seem Proposition 4’s time has come. That initiative created an advisory independent redistricting commission to recommend maps for new congressional and state legislative districts after the 2020 census. We’ll hear from the head of Better Boundaries about the deal struck between lawmakers and her organization, and what changes to the law would mean for how redistricting happens in Utah.
