The Hinckley Institute Radio Hour (Air date: April 8, 2015) – Theda Skocpol is the Victor S. Thomas Professor of Government, Sociology and American Politics at Harvard University. She has researched and written extensively about the Tea Party movement, and she’s co-author of the book: The Tea Party and the Remaking of Republican Conservatism, that she wrote with Vanessa Williamson. She argues that both bottom-up and top-down forces intersected beginning in 2010 to give the Tea Party leverage to push Republican officeholders and candidates far to the Right.
