March 2013: Hectic Hobo
Hailed as the Gogol Bordello of the West, Salt Lake City gypsy rockers Hectic Hobo mix mountain songs of mayhem with eastern opium den melodies to create a unique blend of Olde World, Wild West, and Rock and Roll. A creaky blend of accordion, banjo, electric guitar, saloon piano, murder ballad lyrics and whatever percussive devices they pick up on the train ride over always douses the crowd with backwoods moonshine and lights the musical match to set the whole thing aflame.
Hectic Hobo has been one of Salt Lake’s hardest working bands over the last 3 years, relentlessly performing weekly, touring frequently, and releasing two albums to popular acclaim.
