Google announces it’s looking at the possibility of installing a fiber network in Salt Lake City. The proposed Salt Lake City convention center hotel clears a legislative hurdle. Gov. Gary Herbert blasts a state substitute for Medicaid, calling the plan unveiled by House Republicans “illogical.” And he joins Senate leaders with doubts on how to fund Speaker Becky Lockhart’s ambitious school technologyconcept.
