Behind the Headlines: House rejects Healthy Utah, anti-bias bill clears first hurdle, committee OKs medical marijuana (03/06/15)

Play

A House committee voted down Healthy Utah, but sent an alternative plan to the full House. A “model” anti-LGBT discrimination and religious liberty bill crafted by the LDS church and LGBT advocates got unanimous support from a Senate committee. And medical marijuana survived a 16-13 Senate vote to advance for full Senate consideration.

On Friday at 9 a.m., Tribune senior political reporter Robert Gehrke, justice reporter Jennifer Dobner, health reporter Kristen Moulton and editorial writer George Pyle join guest host Roger McDonough to talk about the week’s top news stories.

The program will be rebroadcast on KCPW Sunday at 8 a.m.
