Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump rises above Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and independent candidate Evan McMullin in Utah, according to national polls. Incumbent Republican Gov. Gary Herbert holds a nearly 40-point lead over Democratic challenger Mike Weinholtz less than a week before Election Day. And Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, says he’s received death threats over comments about a new FBI investigation into Clinton’s emails.
On Friday at 9 a.m., Salt Lake Tribune reporters Matt Canham, Robert Gehrke and Thomas Burr, as well as editorial writer George Pyle, join KCPW’s Roger McDonough to talk about the week’s top stories.
Each Friday morning, stream “Behind the Headlines” on KCPW.org or tune in to KCPW or Utah Public Radio for the broadcast.
